I'm a robotics and automation specialist with experience in industrial automation, IoT, and cobots.
Over the past 7 years, I've been helping companies develop smart solutions to automate processes, solve complex problems, and improve efficiency in various industries, including manufacturing and agriculture.
Projects
Branch Robotics: Developed automation solutions at BranchRobotics as Director and Head of Robotics, specialising in UR cobot integration, IoT-driven manufacturing, and AI-enhanced robotics. Led a diverse team of experts in robotics, computer vision, and engineering to design and implement cutting-edge automation systems tailored to client needs.
Aquanzo: As the Controls and Software Lead at Aquanzo, I oversee the development of innovative control systems and software solutions. My role involves designing and implementing advanced automation and IoT systems, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software to optimize performance across various applications.
SuperMassive: Designed and implemented a distributed control system using ESP32 boards to efficiently manage lights, actuators, and sensors across a large building. Developed custom firmware and communication protocols to enable seamless real-time data exchange, automation, and remote monitoring, ensuring a scalable and reliable solution.
Bayes Centre: As a Robotics Mentor at the Venture Builder Incubator Programme (VBI 4.0) based at the University of Edinburgh's Bayes Centre, I help businesses use robotics and autonomous systems. Through workshops and collaborations with industry leaders, I assist entrepreneurs in understanding how technology and business converge, fostering an environment for innovation in robotics.
Agricarbon: Led the development of Agricarbon's soil carbon quantification system, integrating novel mechanical design, automation, and robotics. Designed and prototyped the first Automated Soil Carbon Analysis (ASCA) technology using ROS, Python, and cloud technologies.
Faromatics: Worked on robotics for livestock monitoring using AI and IoT technologies as part of a 1-year acceleration program with RobotUnion and Faromatics. Focused on hardware and software engineering, including PCB design, ROS, C++, and MATLAB, as well as prototyping and manufacturing.
